Question Ocarina Codes do not work with backups!

I've been using Wiigators ISO loader for a while now, and I can successfully play Backups.(duh?)

Well when I apply the codes, nothing happens at all, and I am using the Latest BETA, not gamma(yet, might i add).

I really want to fly in Super mario galaxy , but this is frustrating me
    Can anyone help me?

Not everyone is old enough to make the online purchase themselves, and their parents are generally wary of this stuff. I mean, why should they trust their 12 year old with a 35$ piece of junk that is worthless, and (as parents think of the worst) break my Wii with a voided waranty? Yeah, as a kid, it isn't going to happen...

O admiral, you always gotta break everybody's balls...

Mod chips are $50 if you know how to install them yourself and have the tools to do it. Otherwise you have to pay shipping and labor in addition to the chip price.

Backup loader is free. And I think I've heard you say it before... free is free.

i do say that, but i also believe, if people constantly want to most out of everything its Bad not only because theres so much more work for the coders, more cheaters, more idiots, etc Nintendo attacks us more

since a backup loader was made public, nintendo has attacked homebrew a lot, look at the last 2 updates, and who knows what they still have left....

i rather just say, hey you know what if you want to play games for free, and cheat, maybe you should pay a little, or just move on, just because it can do 1 thing doesnt mean it has to do everything, but thats just me

I'm a bit of a noob to this scene, but I have learned one thing, there are quite a lot of people that are into homebrew that are snobs.

I get the homebrew thing, yeah you can do clever stuff like write your own games and make demo's. And i deeply admire the people who do the programming (which I cannot).

I got my wii chipped for one thing only and that was to play copied games (thats exactly what thay are) because I can download and writes them a lot cheaper than going to the shop.

Here in the UK we dont have the luxury of being able to have a "Backup" of anything. The UK copyright law quite clearly states we cannot copy anything, even once or even if we own it, without the copyrite holders permission.

I digress. Anyways. Why should I look down upon someone who wants to do the same as me, but doesnt want to go to the truble of messing his warranty up or paying lots of money to have the Wii chipped.

I think that should encourage him (or her) and give help where we can. And maybe the chip will come later.

I also think that most forums who ban the usage of backup loaders but allow talk of chips and chipping are giving double standards, both methods are leading to the same end, playing of copied gmes.

i agree with you dont get me wrong, its more, youre getting a program that is giving you the same that people are paying 50 - 100 usd for, and you have to have stupid codes with it... i get rather mad at people who just ask away, and constantly want the most for nothing, why cant they just make due... its like come on, do you really need Ocarina codes, with your free backup loader, which makes nintendo hate it so much, personally i dont see why they would even work, since the point of the loader is not to be 1:1 with what a modchip can do with homebrew, its 1:1 to what a modchip can do, that was my point, other than that, go for it, i help people out quite often here, with the same exact 10 or so questions

and Captin, actually read this forum its full of illogical standerds like that, youre missing the Main one here

    we have mod chip forums
we have links to VC games
we have links to most homebrew programs
we have links and topics to download Wiiware
we have links and topics to download games
we DONT have links to the backup loader

explain that logic -,_-, but thats just how it is

Well said. Nintendo's crusade against homebrew isn't exactly well-planned. The Wii still works without updates, and games with updates can be scrubbed. Furthermore, the lack of outstanding internet service (XBox Live OWNS) means that connecting the Wii to the net is more trouble than it's worth.

Maybe they know something that we don't. Maybe they're worried that Wii will become the next Dreamcast. Piracy killed SEGA... It could kill Nintendo as well.

I've heard that Nintendo is looking into some kind of ultra-dense holograph disc for software data storage, most likely to prevent piracy.

It might have a hand in killing Sega but Sony didnt do too bad with the Playstation, which had a very high piracy rating when it come to games. Even the PS2 games are easy copied and used, you can use copied games on a PS2 without a modchip too.

If you look back in history then some of the biggest selling systems had the most copied games, and it didnt ruin the unit sales. Look at the ZX spectrum or the C64 (what was easier than copying cassette tapes) and they were massive.

Sony seem to think if they go after the chip makers then they can stop piracy, and it seems to be working. Both MS and Nintendo think they can update firmwares to block copies, but thats wrong. It just makes the chip makers and homebrew community more determined to get copies working again.

Piracy is just an annoyance to these companies. It doesnt kill anyone, if it did then we wouldnt be playing music cd's at all as there are more pirate cd's and MP3's than there are originals sold.
