    "Kinda-Bricked" WII, help needed!!

    Hi there,
First of all this is my first thread here so hey all,[i've been lurking around here for a while though]

and second of all, i have a problem with my wii

i had everything just fine, i have a Wiikey-Chip and i have the Homebrew Channel and USBLoader and all that stuff, and everything worked fine
I got the legit disc of band hero and while i was downstairs, my friend inserted the disc, he said it needed an update so he updated [T_T]

After the update, the screen was black [my wii was still powered-on though] and my buttons on the Wii are messed up [i can't press them, but that's unrelated lol, i had that before]
so i couldn't/can't turn off my wii, so i pulled the plug, searched around the internet, and found some stuff about CBoot and stuff like that,

So the first time i tried CBOOT, i just got into my wiimenu without problems and my games loaded fine, after installing some IOS, but the funny thing is, if i go back to the wii menu i get the black screen again, also when i try to turn off my wii with the wii remote, i get a black screen but wii stays on

So i installed a few Wads with "System Menu and IOS" and that kind of stuff
but the problem remains, and i can't turn on my wii without my SD-card with CBOOT on it [and with CBOOT, it often auto-starts WAD-Manager 1.5 so i have to try alot of times before reaching the menu]

I really have no idea what's going on now, so i really want to ask you all for your help, i would really appreciate it

    Thank you!

[PS. PAL WII , Gamecube Controller, Wii remote,WiikeyChip]

    Watch the language please.

I would also like to ask you to make a quick hello post here in the intro section. There is a link in all of our welcome post to our softmod guides. I suggest that you follow the Softmod Any Wii guide and take the option to install system menu 4.1. That should fix you problem

Oh, sorry, i'll edit my post in a minute lol
and well, like said above, i already installed the 4.1 Menu WAD [and in my settings menu, it says i have 4.1 EU] but i still have the same problems
my wii is still softmodded with the HBC and wiikey seems to work fine too so i don't see any reason why i should follow that guide...

Did you follow the Softmod Any Wii guide in my signature? if you can use cBoot2 that means you have bootmii installed as boot2 and that guide will not only fully softmod your wii but it will also reinstall all System IOS's and System Menu 4.1.

If that doesn't work then I or someone will move this thread to the bricked section.

Looks like he doesn't think he should follow that guide..haha.

if you can use cBoot2 that means you have bootmii installed as boot2
cboot2 can be used with bootmii IOS or boot2. Unless of course you don't have access to bootmii.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Haha, sorry about that. I thought you were telling him that cboot2 only works with bootmii/boot2. Should have read the OP more closely.

Sounds like something wrong with the system menu. What system menu do you have?
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Thanks for your replies,
I had system menu 4.0 or something i believe, but then i installed the Band Hero Update and i got the black screen and all,
then i installed the menu 4.1 WAD [which installed succesfully] but the results remained the same

And well, about the "softmod any wii guide" i didn't see it in your signature the first time, so i just googled it
and found a guide from like...9 pages o.o
and it was telling me how to install the homebrew channel while i already have it, so i was like "this won't work"

but i see it now, i'll follow it and post back, thanks!
