Used pimp my wii ....boy was that a mistake.

Hello I'm a newbie to the Wii hacking scene and to the Wii in general. My little brother got a Wii not to long ago. I feel in love with it since I started using it, best console I've ever used. Well here lies my problem I made the mistake of using "brick my wii" after hearing good things about it on another forum. If I would have been on this forum before I never would have used it because I have been reading about all the problems people have been having.

My usb loader gx goes to a blank screen now. I dont know what other damage I could have done. I'm hoping some of the members here can look at my signcheck and syscheck and see if they see any problems or recommend what i should change.

    Your in luck.
After you say "hello" in our introductions thread, I would just follow the "softmod any wii" guide in my signature.
You don't need to uninstall anything, it all installs over it. Good Luck and DON'T use "brick my wii" again.

    Hi
I did a similar thing & i found that i had to uninstall IOS202 as it was giving me major's (but that was just my case) not sure you should do it & i used DOP-MII to uninstall it.
Not sure if that helps you but IOS202 was a bugger for me lol

Maui's 4.3 guide, I would surmise by certain IOS version #s (notably IOS 60/70/80). Yes, I will give you credit for discovering why we don't recommend it. Perhaps you should revert to Wani's IOS 249/250 Rev 17 ahd Hermes IOS 222/223/224 to V4 and leave 202 @ 5.1

Whether he is or not is immaterial in this case. I was simply saying it looked like mauifrog's "work" in terms of the Sign Check results.

Do my softmod anywii guide, all of it form chapter 1 - chapter 3. When you do chapter 2, also download the ios update pack. This should sort you out.

guess i must have got lucky, keep seeing all these bad reports about pimp my wii. i used it to mod mine, mainly because when i was moding my wii , this site seemed to be down and i thought it got shut down. so i used a diffrent guide. but i have had no problems to speak of. the only thing i have had is the occasional black screen where i have to power down after exiting from a game that was launched in a usb loader. but this is totaly random. would re- moding my wii with somthing else put a stop to this???
