    Hi all,

quick question to make sure I got this right:

I bought my Wii in Europe, and when I moved I changed the region to get the rid of the ugly system screen. Am I reading this right that I cannot update my shop channel now? It's not a big deal, I can wait, just wanted to make sure i'm not missing anything between the lines. I followed the guide for region changed wii's, now I'm getting the 205958 error message. Should I wait until a better hack comes out, or is there something I can do to get around this.

    Thanks guys

    T.

    Unhappy update 61212

i downloaded MMM, installed the latest shop chanel from nintendo. updated the IOS per the instructions.

when i try to start it, it says it needs to do a wii update.

it tries to install wii support code 61212. no idea which ios it will try to install.

what does that mean? isn't the point of updating the shop channel/IOS via MMM avoid any wii update?

    *update*
ok, now two pages ago someone suggested using dop-mii to remove the channel and then installing shop channel 2.

i removed the channel in dop-mii, went back to MMM, and installed it. Now i do not have any shop channel

.... trying to install it via dop-mii (heck it worked to remove

Try installing the shopping channel wad again and make sure that there are no errors.

It unsafe to except a ny type of official update so dont do it.

thanks. i didn't do the update.

Installing over and over via MMM never gave me any error. but didn't installed anything either.

Instaling via dop-mii worked like a charm. ...not to mention the light show while downloading

i think that should be updated in the first post at this thread. dop-mii and way more reliable (at least now) and being able to download the source easily from google code is another plus. downloading and running binaries from mediafire is not that easy on me.

    Still getting error 002 screen

I followed the All Regions - Online Installation exactly a few times now. Each time everything installs successfully, however when I go to load the shop channel I get the 002 error. I now have IOS56 v5405 according to IOS manager. I performed the installations after loading Ios249 v19 (for one of the installations I tried) and Ios36 v3351 (for the other installation I tried). I have a 4.2U System. Any suggestions? I appreciate any help with this. Thank you for the useful thread.

So your IOS56 is still at version 5405? Well, that's your problem. If IOS56 doesn't get upgraded to version 5661 or 5662, that error screen will remain. If the online install isn't working, I'd try the offline install. The wad packages for IOS56 are supplied on first post. I don't know how much experience you have with a wad manager, but just to be safe, DON'T uninstall the IOS. Instead, just install the new one over the old one. Otherwise, you will most likely brick your Wii.

    Hope that helps.

I already have HBC, and MMM, and all wads from modmii. So I tried to install following 1-4 steps(online mode). But I have no sucess, the shop channel dont install, say installing but not install. So I want to try the offline mode, but, I want to know about what I need really to follow on steps, because I already have installed all wads from modmii, can I download only ShopChannel-v20.rar? And if yes, what I do? Only steps 5 and 6? Or all steps? And where I can disable Nand Emulation?

Thanks to now, sorry for bad english

Complete all of the steps regardless of what you did with anything else. Online install will work if you load a patched IOS first. If you have no option to disable nand emulation then ignore that step....it's just for some versions of Wad Manager.

If you want online install to work (you can just use the offline install).... you will need to delete the previous shop channel....some people seem to have issues with the online install when the channel is already installed.
