    Wiiflow constantly freezes!

    Hi there,

I've softmodded well over 150 wiis. the vast majority of those being on 4.2u. I've done a handfull of 4.3u, following the guide by Mauifrog. I haven't really had much issues with all the ones i've done on 4.2, but now almost all of the 4.3's end up having this freezing problem when using wiiflow. I have more or less successfully solved the issue 3 times by running pimp my wii. However, I have been warned against using the app, by some ppl far more experienced than I. They even call it the "brick my wii" app.

Now I just modded a 4.2u system and it has the same issue!! Wii flow constantly freezes. :/

    Any help greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks!

Thank you for your response! I had installed the latest carbonik version. After this kept on freezing I installed an earlier version that I've used for a long time... also freezes. Hmmm the latest games I installed would be madden nfl2011, and arc rise fantasia. thanks!

like freezing -> going to black? or hang up?

if going to black maybe this here helps
read carefully as not every step is nessecary in every situation.

    Spoiler

maybe thats the problem that with the cios installation has gone something wrong.

ya, nobody here will recommend brick my wii as you can do it on your own and much safer too. more clicking but without bricking

    good luck for now

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

Thank You very much for the response Vinatec. I'm not sure if it does apply since I get a hang, not a black screen.

It has been a while since I first posted this issue, and unfortunately I haven't got it fixed yet. It seems that every wii I hack, whether it be the 4.3u method (guide by Mauifrog) or the 4.2u method, seems to freeze on wiiflow. I mean the games hangs, or it just freezes while selecting a game.

I am supposed to hack a bunch more wiis, but am hesitant to do so until I get this sorted.

Although running pimp my wii does seem to help quite a bit for the 4.3u systems, it did not help at all with this 4.2u system, displaying the same freezing issue. Note that it also freezes after playing about 5 mins of video in Media center, and it froze twice during the installation of some Wiiware. I was so scared of a bannerbrick, but thankfully no.

I am really not an expert at this stuff, I think that for 4.2u systems the cIOS i use for 249 is IOS38-64-v3610. But am not 100% on that. I know that I use custom IOS iinstaller 2.0 and that on the root of my sd card there is the aforementioned IOS.

    Any help super appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks!!
