Here is my latest system check. I followed link u provided to ininstall Priiloader, I downloaded all recommended filed from his tutorial, but decided to post this system check for your review. Thanks so very much for all of your help. After I hear from you again, I will proceed with above referenced guide to uninstall priiloader. Again, I downloaded all his recommended files for the procedure.

Just install ios60patched from the priiloader guide....(you dont need to install the system menu)

after you install ios60patched check to see if you can boot into priiloader

Use dop-mii and uninstall ios4,10,11,16,20,30,50,70(you dont need these ios)

All of the system IOS mentioned, 20,30,50,70 , I would keep those. They are used for brick protection.

    Also keep IOS16.
    Damn I suck!!!!

@Cile, I think I will have to re-install system menu he recommended in guide. The guide you provided in the link above specifically states if you install patched ios60 after you have install Priiloader you will brick. So if priiloader is already installed i would have to follow his instructions. Please verify as I may be reading it wrong. @ Krank thanks so much for the advice. I am happy that there are so many people on here will to help us newbies. I always read the post like 4 or 5 times before i begin to execute anything. Thank goodness I saw ur post before i went deleting stuff. Whew...that was close. I just dont want to mess anything up. Thank you both for your help.

    Where do you see that?

Also deleteing the IOS cile mentioned would not harm your console at all. I just wanted to mention, you may want to leave IOS16, 20, 30, 50, 70.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Sorry Krank I think I am quoting the wrong link. Ok again thats why i read like 4 times. Apparently, I am thinking of another link. So I will proceed with guide to install patched ios60 then download dopmii to uninstall ios I dont need. Update Neogamma, and hope that all is well again. Well....here i go, wish me luck.

I think your dvd drive may be approaching end of life, it sounds like it has been very well used.

    -Try the a new neogamma
-You have a new cios, so that is good
    -Try laying the wii horizontal
    -Try cleaning the lens

    - "installing patched ios60 with priiloader installed" This is not true, at least not with priiloader. It was true with preloader, but the statement is no longer valid. Also, it does not brick the wii, it only corrupts the preloader install and is easily fixable. It is safe to reinstall the system ios with priiloader installed, patched, unpatched, back and forth, it will not brick your wii (should not).

-All of your ios are from the NUS auto downloader from xflak. All system ios versions are patched one number above the stubed version. They are fully functional and fine, leave them alone. All your ios are ok, leave them as they are.

If your drive keeps giving you trouble, it may be time to switch to a usb drive. Those drive don't last forever and reading the burned dvd media makes the drive work harder, possibly shortening its life span. If the drive fails completely your wii will stop to function as you like, usbloading, channels and such will not all work. So you may want to stop using the drive now and load everything from usb to prevent it from failing completely.

-Be sure you have boot2 bootmii
    -Be sure you have priiloader
-If your HBC and Bootmii are old, update both with the hackmii 0.8. (optional)

To make life simple for your kid, setup a usb HD. I would use ciosx -19 with base 57, with a fat32 hd drive, using Configurable usb loader. Then you can put games and movies on the drive, also apps if you like. Then in priiloader install a cfg usbloader forwarder and set the priilaoder to autoboot it. Now your son turns on the wii and a screen with 200 wii games shows up, box art and all- You will love it.

Thanks Mauifrog. You may be right about drive. We have totally gotten our use out of this wii thus far. I am seriously considering the USB Loader. Seems like the way to go. At this time I only have a 180GB external drive so he will have to do with it until I can get him a much bigger one. I will install a new Neogamma to see if that helps. However when u put in a disc you hear a clicking sound so it may have just ran its course. How do I check to see if I have boot2 bootmii??? I believe I do have this as it shows on screen when you first turn on wii. Also is there a way to convert the disc games back to hard drive format??? I would hate to loose all those games I have burned so far. I will post back to let all of you know how it is going. Gonna update Neogamma now, and install updated Priiloader. Will also update HBC and Bootmii once i get this done. Thanks again for your help.

Well all, I think Mauifrog is right. I loaded newest priiloader, newest Neogamma, and cleaned lens. Now the clicking is loader and I even borrowed a wii retail game from ny neighbor across the street and it gives error saying turn wii off, read directions etc. SO, DRIVE IS ALMOST GONE FOR CERTAIN. I am now in the process of backing up all my data on external HD so that I can format it for use for USB Loading until I can get him a larger one. I like your explanation @Mauidog about the games coming up on screen, just wondered if you preferred a specific tutorial to use as a guide to set up USB Loading? Seems like it will be very kid-friendly. Will he loose his saved games in the wii?? I did find out I have Bootmii installed as boot2 thus the bootmii screen when turning on the wii. I removed the entire folder from card, as I already have nand backup, and bootmii folders on laptop. Thank you each and every one of you for your assistance and guidance. Looking forward to any recommendations anyone has to the easiest and most user friendly guide any of u could recommend.
