But he heard that dop-mii can brick wii if so he herd that bootmii can unbrick wii but sometimes fails if this is true wat is % of bootmii failing to unbrick wii?

Well, the answer depends on the wii and the type of brick. On older wii's, one can install bootmii as boot2, which will allow one to recover from allmost every brick. On newer wii's, it is not possible to install bootmii as boot2. You can however install bootmii as IOS, which will give some brick protection.

Allthough I answered your question, I will give you some extra info about bricking and unbricking and how to prevent bricks.

Basically, there a 3 different types of bricks:

    1. The semi brick.
    2. The banner brick.
    3. The full brick.

A semi brick is (relatively) easy to fix and can be prevented by using priiloader.
A banner brick is fixable, but requires prilloader to be installed or/and an autobooting modchip.
A full brick can only be fixed by bootmii as boot2, or with a NAND programmer and a back-up.

    Hi,

Thanks you helped a lot, so you are basically trying to say that if I have an old Wii it is 100% chance that I could unbrick wii no matter what type of brick it is and if it is new wii is it hard to unbrick. Plus can I brick wii by using Dop-mii to truchafie ios 36? My last question is that i found this video on youtube showing a person failing to unbrick Wii is this true that bootmii can sometimes fail to unbrick Wii.

    Thanks A Lot

Boot2 can only get corrupted by hardware failure or power outage during an update from Nintendo. So just don't update.

    Hi,

I updated my wii about 3-4 times while it was hardmodded and now i am at 4.0U. I started with 3.4U. Will this affect boot2 from unbricking the Wii.

    Thanks
