    Ca I am a noob, please help about homebrew

    Hi,

    I bought the Wii for my daughters and I don't play much myself but after reading about Homebrew here, I still don't understand what it is exactly for?

    My Will has the D2Pro9 mod chip, updated firmware but not the Oct 23 one yet, so what benefit do I have by installing Homebrew using the installer 1.5 at the front page....? TIA

    Huh. You can install Channels (Wiiware AND Virtual Console), you can (as Wiiwould said) run emulators (old game systems), you can use Cheat codes on games you have via Ocarina or Gecko OS, and there are tons of Homebrew games to run, like Quake. Just look around and you'll find awesome things

    I should of gone into detail being the Homebrew Master but i was being lazy lol
