Yea sweet pain lol. I am trying to avoid all that frustration of handling those little parts and pieces. I can do it, mind you, I took electronics in high school, but that was over 20 years ago and I had to drop-out due to family issues.

Lol, this wii looks like one of those old beat-up ford pintos from the 80's. The master of ductape. I suppose since it has a good working disk drive I should opt for one of those cool case mods and go from there.

To anyone who has the needed port damaged, use cios36 rev10 it will allow you to mount a usb drive using the other port, it works fine with usb loader gx and cfg usb loader, it doesnt seem to like uloader though. I have 135 games on my drive and all work bar GH5, even some of the more problematic games work with the fixes like Ashes cricket, NSMB and mario galaxy 2, just added 2 of the latest games tiger woods 2011 and big beach sports 2 and both work under rev10 so it is a solution but my main worry is further releases may come along that wont work with rev10

Sounds good though, at least for a temporary solution. Maybe can get something going on as far as getting it fixed or replaced before the other games emerge.

Yea, i dunno. Would be nice for me if they had, but maybe there was a limitation in their coding, or perhaps having the power it requires to maintain both ports being 2.0 would cause issues.
For most folks it is a nonissue, but maybe it won't be too hard to switch the 2 ports connections or something. Anyway there is always sd card loading as well (trying to look at the bright side lol).

I have today managed to get guitar hero 5 working as well and had been told it would never work, that it had to be cios38rev14 or later but its fully working on softchip using cios232, so thats now a total of 141 games fully working on rev10 so maybe it will be ok to leave it on rev10
