if i mod my wii now can i play games later in the year if they require an update

im sorry if the topic title wasnt to clear im debating on how to word this so it can be understood with out to much hair pulling.

i got my wii the otherday and im all for modding it, but my only hang up is(assuming i dont brick it) that if i mod it now (4.2u) can i download and burn, usb load or even buy a copy of a game that is released later in the year i.e. golden eye or something would it require any kind of firmware update or anything would i ever have to update any of the modded files on the wii hbc priiloader etc.(if so where would be the best place to get them?)
as im typing this and re-reading it i have reached my own conclusion but would rather get the answer from someone who actually knows for certain. i just want make sure, i read on one of the tutorials here "id rather read your stupid questions then read about your mistakes" so i thought id post about it know rather than later
sorry if im asking something that is common knowledge would just like to be clear

Noone knows what ios a game will need until it is actually released and tested, but most usually work fine aside from those that we have made a list of problematic games for. I
If you want to know if you will be able to play backups in the way that others are, you should. If you want to know if you will be able to play games in the future without further modifications, it is not possible to tell you since time travel has not been invented yet.

I've used two different hacks in about 3 years and 100% of the games work well. Of course, when some games start giving you errors, there's always a fix posted here, or a new hack that you can install.

There's absolutely no downside to doing this IMO... Worst case scenario (aside from bricking it of course) will be that most new games in a year from now don't work well anymore, so you'll just have to update your hack.

If a game doesn't work on your Wii, you can be sure that someone already came up (or is about to come up) with a workaround.
