Wii-Shop-Channel Update v19 - Update to new 4.3 shop without updating firmware

This guide is now outdated. Use THIS GUIDE to update your Shop Channel to v20.


This is to upgrade your shop channel to 4.3 without upgrading your Wii to 4.3 firmware.

All you need to do is install shop channel v19 using dop-mii or Wad Manager.

Option 1. NUSD -- Download Shopping channel v19 for your region and install with Wad Manager. -- NUSD Simple Guide

Option 3. Use WiiSCU -- Get it from Wiibrew.org

Option 4. Use DOP-SHOP -- Get it from Wiibrew.org

Thanks for the info, I am on 4.1U and I still have the 4.1U Shopping Channel with IOS51. What steps do you recommend for installing v19 with DOP-Mii and the new IOS61-v5661 or should I use the older IOS61-v5405?

Install it with dop-mii as mentioned. Or you can use Dop-shop if you don't want to use dop-mii as pointed out by Bliepo. You can use IOS61 v5405.

Thanks for this. I had just gotten addicted to MH3, and wanted to install the WiiSpeak channel so that I can use voice. Tried to download it form the shop channel (I got a WiiSpeak with Animal Crossing a while back) and discovered that 4.3 is here to ruin my day.

EDIT - Had to use WAD Manager, DOP-Mii wasn't agreeing for whatever reason. Think it was the naming of the WAD file on my SD card actually, but not a big deal either way. Too bad I just realized I have NO idea where my WiiSpeak download key is... Prob threw it out with the oversized cardboard portion of the box Animal Crossing came in long ago... Oh well, it's late here. I'll look for a workaround tomorrow.

i did exactly what u said but it still asks for an update and when i go to dop-mii it says i still got shopping channel v19. do u have any solution? do i have to use dop-shop instead?

Hey. I'm trying to update my wii shop channel, when you say that i can use wad manager instead of Dop-Mii, all i have to do is install wii shop channelv19 like a wad? Do i need to install the IOS61-v5405.wad first? What happens if i install the wii shop channelv19 and still have the other installed do they overwrite? I'm asking this because when i'm on the last step to install shop channel through Dop-Mii, it doesn't show what he is going to install, and i'm afraid to brick my console.
