Guys, I wanted to let you know that everything worked out fine! now I'm able to play backups again! thanks to your help! I also installed priiloader, a little tricky to install but is there now . Now the automatic disc updates are now blocked . The weird part is that this following step from the guide was never available to me, however everything is fine.. how come?

C7)If you have internet connection, select "Network install", else select "SD card", Press A.

Also during priiloader installation and after modifying the disc updates I never found an option to reset my wii, I had to unplug it from the power, is this normal sometimes? Now I would like to launch priiloader again in order to make my wii region free because I want to play a PAL game I downloaded. For some reason the NTSC patcher wiu.1.1 is not working for me, I get an error message saying this is not a valid wii iso image.. So I guess my only choice is to launch priiloader again, but the LOAD option from HBC doesn't work.. any suggestions?

Thanks again! you guys are wonderful!!

The only way to launch priiloader is to hold down the reset button as you power up your wii. I think you are confusing "Priiloader" with "Bootmii". Bootmii is launched through HBC if you installed it as an IOS but you have to have the bootmii folder on you SD card.

Wii Softmod 4.1u updated with SMG2 to 4.2u

Hello ratonjd, are you Latin?, anyway quick question, same thing happen in my Wii (well my kid's Wii) I had softmod my Wii some months ago with the excelent guide posted here for Virgin Wii 3.4u to 4.1U, but one of my kids started the Update after we bought the SMG2... problem was that they stoped the update when they notice the situation (almost at 98%) anyway, my Wii boots well, original Games works fine, but my Backups doesn't it.

My cuestion is,,, did you followed all the guide posted in : http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html ? or just part of it as was recommended by preay80?

Please can you give me your comments?

I have had the same problem, this time my child ran the update from toy story 3. I have tried 'PART B: The extermination of the evil stub ios249' (i used this guide originally) Wad manager loads up fine but when i get to the screen to press a to uninstall ios249 the remote drops out. i have tried all manner of things to kick start them again but they wont activate. After rebooting the remote is fine and stays fine untill i get to the same screen again......please help.........

Sorry about the above comment, i bit new to all this....i will now try to post this as a new thread....sorry
