Running wads on sd card. 4.2u

    hey all.

i have firmware 4.2u with homebrewchannel (softmodded). i installed some wads using wad manager, then moved them over to the sd card thinking i could play them from there. but when i try to load them it says "failed to launch"

is there a patch that i can add to fix this? i rly dont wanna keep going into gecko os and rebooting everytime to make them work >.<

    thx in advance

Personally i use Triiforce for all my VC titles (by installing wads and playing them i'm assuming you mean VC games.) check it out and see if you like it. It has a few very important benefits over the method you are using now anyway. read about it here.
If i helped you please click thanks.

Will Priiloader work to do what? Prevent disk and internet updates... yes. make a pizza... not so much.

Trii Triiforce, it loads channels from sd or usb and will add a layer of safety by not having to install wads to your real nand.

If you mean just click on the little sd card icon from the wii main menu. No not at this time. Downloaded wad files must be installed (extracted) one way or another to use them. Either to your real internal NAND or to a emulated NAND that you are storing on either SD or USB. WIth triiforce you start up your wii. click on the sexy triiforce channel and pick your game. It's really very simple once you get it going.

Yes. The response above me is not quite accurate. System menu 4.0 and above supports Playing Wiiware/VC games from the SD card. You just install the .wad with WAD manager and then go into data management and move the game over to your SD card. When loading from the SD card it has to Write to the NAND everytime you launch a game therefor if you don't have enough blocks free in your wii memory , it will fail to write to the NAND and fail to launch the game.

I would assume this is where your problem lies as you mentioned you installed IOS70 Patched already. Check in data management to see how many blocks you have free.

Also Triiforce is a good option if your plan on playing a lot of Wiiware/VC.
