    DARKCORP? How bad?

How bad is the program "DarkCorp"? I know that it mods all IOSs but what does that mean?

And on one of my wii's I installed it, should I uninstall it? Or since it installed alright, should I just leave it instead of taking a chance again.

P.S. I installed this to play Monster Hunter Tri.

As long as you are installing it with the desire to load games from the disk channel, or take advantage of some of its other patches- it is not that bad. The only risk is during the system ios install, but we patch the system ios all the time regardless, no the risk is no greater.

I have it installed, just to test the installer and have not noticed any compatibility issues between corp and usbloading. Go for it.

If you want to run monster hunter tri from a loader, it needs a cios with ios37 as base

Thanks for responding =) I Think i will keep DarkCorp, as uninstalling, to my understanding, doesnt seem like the easiest thing. So, I will keep it since it is installed.

Just got me worried, how no one on the IRC recommended it

Darkcorp should be fine but like any other Wii hacking you should always have a NAND backup with Boot Mii and if possible some sort of other brick protection like Priilader .You should also never power off the Wii or Remove the SD card when the Wii is writing to the NAND .

Most of the brick problems happen when people start messing with individual IOS's on thier Wii so Darkcorp is possibly a better solution because it modifies the Wii with a Automatic Installer .

Early versions of ciosCorp where known to brick LU64 Wiis .

i originally installed Darkcorp so i could play MH3 as well, being that it was one way to do it and it sounded quicker than any other way to get it to run properly. I've had no issues running any games at all yet. I got a patched version of New super mario bros, red steel 2, mh3, and a bunch of games that give no issues. Then using the regionfrii system menu hack with Priiloader you can load all region games from the disc channel, Fatal Frame 4, Disaster Day of Crisis, anything, and it being an automatic installer doesn't have me worry that i may screw something up, lol.

Ah, another MH3 thread to close. This is not a legitimate reason alone to install DarkFail. A user is both required to understand what it does and how it does it --- including limitations.
