Us Problem Using Both USB ports!

I currently run backups off of my Western digital Ex. Hard drive. Everything works ok except a few games dont work. my main problem is that if i run Monster Hunter Tri off of the HDD, i cannot plug in my keyboard into the second usb port...it wont work. i remember pple talking about it but has anyone came up with a solution? i would play off of my burned dvd, except once in awhile i get a "cannot read disk" error. idont want to take the chance of getting disconnected again. please help if possible.

Have you tried a usb hub? Not all usb hubs work with the Wii, Nintendo recommened a premium usb hub made by logictech with an external power source.

Here's another bit of info, Hermes made a cIOS that when installed I think it lets you use the inner usb port like you would use the outter usb port. But look for the uLoader homepage for that.

I would assume that it is IOS222 or 223, but I only read about it at the uLoader homepage, I never had a reason to install it.

Here is a qoute of the readme for uLoader v3.6A_port1

Special version of uLoader 3.6 to work under USB port 1
    -------------------------------------------------------

    Source code: cios_mload_source_install_3.2.rar

This uloader version works internally under USB port 1 without reset bulk method.

This pack have two compiled modules to include it externally (i.e: you can copy as ehcmodule.elf in sd:/apps/uloader/ehcmodule.elf)
You can use it as you want in others applications, of course.

The included cios_mload works also under USB port 1. If you use the "old" cios_mload, port 1 works as USB 1.1 initially and you needs
unplug/plug the device to works (mload needs initialize USB ports before the load of OHCI modules and port 1 is changed to USB 1.1
and port 0 is used as USB 2.0 originally)

This version is thinking in user that have USB port 0 broken.

NOTE: Remember you it support DVD USB Devices now!!

    greets
Take that as you will, I don't know if it will solve your problem of keyboard not working, and I don't know if USB port 0 will work correctly after installing this.

I have the same issue with the games that require a microphone. The microsphones work fine when my WD External HD is not plugged in but do not when it is in. Any fixes??

Um, might want to try that search bar. Type in Hermes (IOS 222).
