WiiMote Loses Connection with HomeBrew Software

    Hello, help!

I've been using my Wad Managers and USB Launchers just fine with no problems. I just updated my system to connect to the internet via Nintendo (stupid me! probably the issue!), and now when I try to load any of that software, via channel or via .dol/homebrew, my wiimotes lose connection, and won't load again.

Not to mention, my Configurable USB Loader won't even move from the homescreen + wiimotes lose connection.

Has this happened to anyone? Why won't my wiimotes connect any more!

I've tried resetting the sync, but no luck. Any suggestions?

This happens because the custom iOS that your loaders used to use have been updated by Nintendo. These updated iOS are stubbed so they are more like 'dummy' iOS which serves no function and has no capability of doing so. Simply softmod your wii using this tutorial:

Yes, you must softmod again. The previous softmod was removed by the system update you just did.

JOY! Works as advertised. I recommend the tutorial posted above over any others.

NOTE: I guess for a lot of people, it errors when it says Network Initializing. Just be sure to follow the steps for installing from SD as a WAD rather than using the internet. Rest assured that once you finish, the Wii will be able to connect to the net again.

WiiMote Loses Connection with HomeBrew Software

My system has been modded for about 6 months without any problems. This past week we rented Super Mario Galaxy 2 and can only assume that game updated my wii. Now when going into Configurable USB my wiimote loses connectivity each time and the screen won't transition from the splash screen of the app. The remote always works fine playing a game from the disc.

I followed all the steps in the guide mentioned in this thread and everything appeared to work as described except from the NAND Backup the wiimote won't work. I also noticed that from the BootMii screen either manually or from Boot2 the wiimote will never work. I tried to load USBLoader GX and although I'm able to use the remote to backup games, download images, whenever I go to run a game it goes to a black screen, the remote stops working and nothing ever happens. Any idea what component might have failed or how to even check the versions of what is in use to verify everything is at the expected versions?

Sounds like you have two different issues here. First you should start your own thread only after you searched and failed to find the answrs yourself. The first problem you have with bootmii is not a problem with the wiimote or any IOS. Read the guide again and it will tell you how to navigate throught the selections. Your second problem is very common. Try oout the search box to find an answer.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I just made an assumption regarding the BootMii but found in their FAQ now regarding that.
My WiiMote or Classic Controller doesn't work in the BootMii menu. When will you fix this?

    Probably never.

I will do some more searching regarding my 2nd (more important to me) issue. I assumed again that this thread sounded like me and a complete reinstall of the SoftMod should resolve it.
