    Black Screen Halt

Pls help, I have an PAL modded Wii, but dont really know what kind of chip I have...I can play most of the games, and I only download PAL games none NTSC...but LEGO Indiana Jones, Boom Blox and Naruto NCR are the games with the problem, they work fine on Wii startup, and then when I hit the start button my wii freezes complitly...and the black screen appears. Have to manually reset the Wii...I burn on Sony DVD-R with Imgbrn on 2x speed...Any clues??? Need update or something??? PLS help...

The only sure way to tell is to open up the Wii and see what chip is installed. You could try the WiiKey update disc and see if it will update, it won't do anything if the chip is not WiiKey, but that is just a shot in the dark. You should try to contact the person who installed the chip to find out what was installed.

I got it with the chip, the person who sold me it dosnt know either. I got it in June 2008, but in Bosnia so it could be an old version, the serial number is LEH114387066 if it helps, and the Wii firmware version is 2.1E tried the Wiikey update it did something...the Wii tested but still no changes...any clues now? Or is the only way to open the Wii...and when I ope it and see what chip I have, would it fix the problem?

it could be the wiinja chip or the open wii modchip inside the wii

According to the wii tracker (LINK) :

Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2B.
Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

So it could be any number of modchips. Best bet is to open it up and take some pictures.

yes you can play your naruto etc, but you first need to open your wii to examine what kind of modchip is in the drive.
If you find out what modchip is in the wii, I will highly recommend the wasabi v3 modchip for your wii (works with all drives) and it is the most stable modchip.
