    Red face

well i havent really ever had a problem that i couldent solve without letting my wii cool or turning it on and off but here some funny/bizzare things.

You know the sound ur wii makes when theres no disc?
    the loud VROOM

well i had borrowed a game off my freind and i thought the wii disc was stuck in there! caus everytime i presed the button i just hard that loud ass noise, and was liek oh shit

so my dad made a 10 call to nintendo

and i was researching how to take your wii apart after reading the wii booklet saying Whatever you do, do not attempt to take apart wii.

turns out the disc was by the tv
well that was back when wii first came out, and more recently like maybe a month or two ago

i was practising how to take a wii apart so i can understan it better, for when i was learning about mod chips and stuff.

and i dont know why, but i was trying to take it apart and i was following this old youtube vid(its like all blury and crap) it was one of the first videos of a guy taking apart his wii that you could see(now i knwo theres lots)

THEN half way through a sd card whent shooting across the room from my wii 0_0 i was like my wii just treid to shoot me

i put my wii back together and shoved the sd card in my r4ds.

Thumbs down Weird problem: Health and Safety screen constantly pops up when returning to menu

I followed the softmod guide for 4.0 virgin systems then the guide to downgrade to 3.2U. Wiiconnect 24 was turned off the whole time, any other controllers or memory cards removed. I may have forgotten to unplug 2 USB microphones from the wii before running this.

The problem: No matter what channel I select (News, Weather, HBC, etc), if I hit home then return to menu it brings me back to the black safety screen prompting me to press A (as it normally would if you just turned on your system) so I press A and it brings me back to the menu. Almost like some kind of boot loop? Even selecting no to a continue screen on Metroid Prime 3 resets my system back to this health/safety screen. I didn't get a chance to backup my system in Bootmii or do the boot2 as I didn't have an extra SDCard at the moment. I have since backed up the system in bootmii and backed up the nand.

Maybe my memory escapes me and it's an issue with the 3.2 firmware? So it's a minor annoyance, but one that I would like to correct. My system was acting funny before I even ran any mods on it, sometimes it wouldn't load the channels/games and would freeze on a black screen after selecting them. I would just have to hold the power to do a forced shutdown and they'd usually work again. Now the menu audio is cut off at time (doesn't play full sounds).

I bought the wii around February of 2008.

When I was installing HackMii or Starfall (not sure what app it was), part of one of the guides wasn't clear on a menu with 3 options, I ran the first 2 but never ran the 3rd--upon reading it now I was only supposed to run the first option--if anyone can tell me what the other 2 options were please let me know (I wish I could find a screen shot to explain what I'm talking about.)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

i believe by pressing the home button then return to menu and it takes u to the black safety screen is due to preloader being installed. mine does that everytime i hit return to the menu, its like i just turned the wii on each time. it is kinda of annoying, but oh well, i can live with it.
    My Wii System
    GC2-DMS Chipset - Wasabi Dx/Zero
    3.2u Firmware - HB Channel - Bootmii as Boot2
    Cios R14 - Neogamma R8B7

    LG GDR 8163b for backups

well i think it was doing this before i installed the preloader because originally i had starfall on there. i swear i chose a wrong option or it messed up somewhere along the way, but if you say it happens on yours as well then that's good enough for me. thanks.
