start up sounds when disc image spins on usb loader gx

    hi there ,

    i have a question

i have softmodded my 4.2e version wii and i have recently done my mates for him too who has the same version, i followed the brilliant tutorial from this website and you cant go wrong, i dont think i have done anything different. apart from my friend updated his about a month ago to 4.2e and i updated mine to it when i first got it (softmodded it almost straight away ) they both work but my friend has a unique start up sound when he clicks on a game in usb loader, where the screen comes up which shows you the play count and you can see a disc image start to spin, this is where you hear a sound before you click to a final ok to play which is custom to the game he is playing. i was wondering if anyone has the sounds and/or knows why, i would really like them on mine.

also their are a few other subtle differences with his compared to mine which i dont understand because i used the same tutorial and the same download links for the files to go on the SD.
    many thanks.

What are the other differences? And if your talking about the music that plays when you first click the game then you should have that as well. There is nothing special you have to do , it is copied over when you transfer your game ISO to your hard drive.

his usbloader screen has a link to the homebrew channel in the bottom right next to the button to return to the wii menu

i have a nice screen that says loading.. when i start usb loader where as his has a black screen with white text sayin reloading ios lol.

as for the sounds i have none, they are custom sounds, for example when bomberman land is loaded up you hear a trumpet tune which is custom to bomber man , another example is overkill, it says "lets kill some mutants" lol. for me , the disc just spins untill i click to play lol, i mean its not crucial obviously and as far as softmodding goes, they both play the games so who cares right? exept i am just wondering how i made his better than mine lol

    thanks for your time.

    Thats stange.
Are you happy to stick with usb gx or are you willing to try wiiflow. I and a lot of other people prefer it. Most people use gx as its the one included in the tut's here.

Here is an easy to follow tut

Download wiiflow here: WiiFlow USB Loader - Downloads
    Choose full version.
    Unzip downloaded folder.
You will be left with 3 folders (ignore text files) apps, WAD and wiiflow.

In the apps folder there is wiiflow_249, rename this wiiflow and put it in apps folder on your sd card.

In WAD folder there is a WAD called WiiFlow StarNight Channel Forwarder-WSNF.wad put it in WAD folder on your sd card.

Put wiiflow folder that is left straight on your sd card root.

You should alreay have WAD manager.

So here is how to install.

Go to homebrew channel, go to WAD manager, click A until in install page, highligh wiiflow wad and install it.

That is wiiflow ready for your hard drive.

Sorry I could not help with gx as i stated i dont have it.

There is a update button in the settings. Possibly, if you updated. Dunno, just a thought. Mine has always had sounds.
    Wii 4.1U - cIOS38 rev17 - 500gbHDD - Wiiflow 2.1 - uLoader 5.1 - Wimc 1.0.9 - Priiloader 0.5 - boot2 - gamecube launcher 2.0 - cMIOS rev3
