    Help-Possible brick issue?!

I am trying to fix my friends wii that he attempted to softmod. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas or links to topics already discussed on this topic.

It loads directly into priiloader v0.1 (r15) Guessing Bootmii was installed as ios not Boot2

Homebrew does load up but everything freezes as soon as it is loaded except for trucha bug Restorer. You can't get to any original wii startup menu just priiloader and homebrew from priiloader.

I have no idea what programs he followed to softmod or what Ios has been changed or deleted.

I am assuming it is a 4.1u version.....the first 4 digits of serial are LU65

I attempted to use the 3.1-4.1 softmod guide and can follow the steps through the Trucha bug restorer but it freezes as soon as you load Wadmanager1.4 or 1.5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you load the system menu? What system menu ios and version is displayed on the priiloader screen? What ios is used in the priloader settings?

In priiloader, goto hacks, disable all.

Thanks for the replies, I think I have it figured out. None of the wireless controllers would work, so I had to use a GC controller and find a wadmanager with GC controller capability, then I downloaded the right system menu wad and installed it with the wad manager.

That gave me the actual wii system menu back and I just started over with the soft mod tutorial and it is now a working 4.1 softmodded wii.

    thanks again for the replies.
