USB Loader GX Shows Homebrew and Internet Channel, but nothing else.

In addition to showing Homebrew and Internet Channel - it shows some really random lines.

I followed this Tutorial (before I found wiihacks.com), and was able to install the cIOS.

The app will eventually freeze or crash on me - but it can vary between 30 seconds from opening to 5 minutes from opening.

It's a 4.2U, and the app is running from within HBC. I have a 120GB drive that I used WBFS Manager to put 2 games on - so I'm not sure whats up.

    Thoughts?

For some reason GX is picking up your installed channels. Not sure what the numbers are but the HABA, HACA are locations on the NAND where channels get installed to.

You might want to verify your cIOS installation. Had a quick glance at that other guide and it seems only to install IOS222, which could, or could not be the reason.

    I would recommend installing cIOS38rev14 as IOS249. cIOS38_rev14-Installer.rar
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Installed cIOS38 as IOS249 - got the same result in USB Loader.

    Here's my SignCheck -

SignCheck 0.3b aka loveSexWii build report
    Wii region Usa
Wii unique device id < removed - I didn't know if this mattered >

IOS number "Trucha bug" "Flash access" "Boot2 access" "Usb2.0 IOS tree"

IOS250 (ver 65535) Enabled Disabled Disabled Enabled
IOS249 (ver 14) Enabled Disabled Disabled Enabled
IOS222 (ver 4) Enabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS70 (ver 6687) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS61 (ver 5405) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS57 (ver 5661) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS56 (ver 5405) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS55 (ver 5406) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS53 (ver 5406) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS38 (ver 3867) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS37 (ver 3869) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS36 (ver 3351) Enabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS35 (ver 3349) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS34 (ver 3348) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS33 (ver 3091) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS31 (ver 3349) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS28 (ver 1550) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS22 (ver 1037) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS17 (ver 775) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS14 (ver 520) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
IOS13 (ver 273) Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled

Is there anything that's missing? I don't know what a 4.2U modded signcheck is supposed to look like.

Here's another thing - when I installed cIOS 222, I did the following:
    1. Choose IOS36 for install
    2. Install Custom IOS 222
    3. Use IOS38 merged with IOS37

However, I noticed the installed recommended IOS38, not merged with IOS37. So afterwards, I also tried doing step 3 as just IOS38 (non-merged) - it still doesn't work.

Any other ideas? Am I just not going to be able to use USB Loader? My Wii is an LU39 - so I'm kind of out of options.

According to Messie's guide - it says I need to install 202, 222, and 223.

    Quote:
D5) You can now install ios202, ios222, ios223. From HBC, run cios222 installer and select ios249 to use. At the next screen, choose the following, one at each turn:
-ios202, for usb - using ios38 (needed for USB2.0 support at Media Players)
-ios222, for uloader - using ios38 (needed for USB support of instruments and stuff)
-ios223 mainly for GH5 - using ios38 merged with 37 (same as above)

    Is that my problem?

Do I just run the cIOS222 installer and install it on 202 and 223?

Thanks for your help in advance.

When USB Loader GX doesn't freeze up immediately - if I go to Settings and then hit back (even if I don't change anything) - I get an ISR Exception. What does that mean?

The bad part? It still doesn't work. Now I'm really out of ideas...

    HOW I FIXED THIS PROBLEM:

I had this same problem, I was using an older version of USB Loader GX (r889), with my WD 500gb passport 2.0 and it just showed the channels and no games. This is a friends wii, so I was testing things with my hard drive, his hard drive will be a WD 500gb passport 3.0/2.0 drive, which I found needs the older version of USB Loader GX to read the 3.0 drive. I put USB Loader GX r938 on and it reads my drive/games just fine.

When he gets his drive I will downgrade to r889 again so it will read his drive.

I hope this helps someone in the future.
