Question Retail Super Smash Bros. Brawl + cIOS38 rev. 14

    Hey all,

I've been reading through this forum lately in anticipation of soft-modding my Wii, but I have a quick question before I do so:

I bought my Wii the other day along with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I have read that rev. 14 of cIOS38 does not support dual layer discs. However, I'm not sure if this applies to retail discs or just backups.

Therefore, what I would like to know is whether my retail copy of SSBB will work with rev. 14, or will I have to install rev. 13a to retain compatibility, and just alternate between that and 14 depending on the game I play?

    Thanks!

I honestly dont understand why people keep saying that cios38 rev14 doesnt support dual layer because I can run the entire SSBB game using that cios version on neogamma r5 without a single problem.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

I never seem to have any trouble running it with r14 under USB either, but I seldom play it, find it quite boring.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Thanks for the replies; although I am most curious as to whether my retail version will work (i.e., not through NeoGamma, for example, and just as a standard retail disc through the disc channel)
