HBC will not load any apps, bootmii won't work

    Hey guys,

I started trying to softmod my wii (4.2) a couple of days ago using the recommended tutorial on here. I was able to get everything installed (HBC, bootmii as IOS). I then installed cios38rev14 and neogamma r7. I was unable to get my DVD Isos to load (error 1011). I read some posts here stating that some people had better luck with Neogamma r6 and cios rev10. I installed Neogamma r6 and then installed rev10. I either messed up somewhere on this install or got a bad file (I used a random rapidshare of this file, I realize this was probably a bad idea). Now I can still access HBC, the apps show a loading meter and then the screen goes black. I have searched the forums and found some posts with similar problems but none of the fixes there seemed to work for me. I can't load any .wad files because they use the HBC and bootmii showed text (I can't really read it because it scrolls up and down the screen really fast, not sure if thats normal but its always done that) and does nothing else. I tried redoing the steps installing bannerbomb hack mii from sd but it black screens me as well. Disc and Mii channels work fine. Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you try re-installing old HBC and then letting it update itself and carrying out the update?

I tried reloading the hackmii and bannerbomb files from the SD card. After it loaded boot.elf it went to a black screen and froze there.

Run Signcheck and post the text from the resultant signcheck.csv here and we'll try and help.

Ok, I tried running signcheck this morning. Like all my other HBC apps it shows the load meter then goes to a black screen and stays there.

Can you try using an alternate SD Card?

An older 128/256mb one even from a camera or phone, should be enough room on to get started.

I actually don't have another SD card. I can buy one when I head out later today if you guys think that's the problem though.

Sandisk 2GB are among the most compatible. Worth trying and eliminating the SD card from the suspects though.
