I don't mean the hack.ini, but the other settings.
The one I am particularly interested in is "Stop disc" (this is not the one for stopping disc updates)

I believe this is due to a problem that was present in Preloader where, on occasion, if an error occurred or something was accessed (sorry about the ambiguity but I'm unsure why) the disc would keep spinning inside the Wii as though the data was being read. This would have led to unnecessary "wear and tear" on the Wii's laser as well as possibly harming the disc. I believe Priiloader (and Preloader v.29+) fixed this error. But then again, maybe it just prevents the disc from running :S I really don't know, but there's some info for you anyway : )
Bump.
[Lengthening.]
Also interested in this. I was hoping it would stop my Wii from trying to look for a disc in the drive when booting. That boot noise of the drive spinning is pretty unneccesary since all of my games are booted from an external HDD.
Why couldn't you let this 2.5yr old thread rest in piece? Think it's time to close it.
A little bit of math fail there, SNES :)
I went to close it and undid your close so had to reclose again. Try over 2.5 year old thread. It's amazing we tell the Newbs to search and they find these threads that go nowhere, yet are completely oblivious of the guide.
