Unable to play games from HD

I've been looking through the forums here and although people are having similar situations to mine, I haven't been able to find a definite fix for my problem. Any help here would be great...

I just had my wii softmodded, and I had about 15 back-ups on a 250GB seagate external HDD. Everything worked perfectly, the games booted up well using USB Loader GX, but I noticed that I wasn't able to rip games to my external hd...the screen would always hang and the system would freeze regardless of what game I put in. I assumed something was wrong with my hard drive, so using WBFS 2.5 I extracted all of the ISO's from my external to my PC. I reformatted my HD and then put all of the ISO's back onto the external using WBFS again.

Now when I try to load games using USB loader gx the screen goes black and the system freezes. It seems to me at this point that WBFS extracted corrupt ISO's...is there anything I can do to fix this? Any help would be great, this is incredibly frustrating.

Oh, and I don't know if it makes a difference but I'm using Windows 7...should I downgrade to Vista??

I would check to make sure there's nothing wrong with the usb cable, maybe try a different one. And also update to WBFS Manager 3.0. Besides that I'm not sure what else could be causing your issue.

Is it possible that WBFS 2.5 isn't completely compatible with Windows 7?

It's possible, but I wouldn't know as I've never used it. Just update, all the cool wiihackers are doing it. ;)
