    brick blocker?

Ive heard to run brick bloacker on all downloaded games, to ensure that nothing goes wrong, is this just refering to back-ups, or does it refer to WiiWare,VC, and/or homebrew also?

As far as I know it can only be run on Wii Backups. Wiiware, VC, Homebrew and GC games dont have firmware updates imbeded in them. At least none that I have seen yet.

How do you change the region of a game?

And you are saying that you do this not only for Wii Games but also for GC, Wii Ware and VC games, is that correct?

You can change the region on Wii backups with Region Frii v1.21 and for .wad files (VC and Wiiware) you can use Freethewad. As with almost any utility they don't work with every game.

I'm also reading the term "Signed" in other threads. What does that mean? What needs to be done about, if anything?

Wii games, VC and WiiWare are digitally signed so they can be verified as authentic. At least that is my interpretation of it. Some utilities that modify the files in the games require the games to be resigned because the digital signature becomes invalid once the files are modified. This does not apply to all utilities and I am not %100 on the technical aspect of why some do not require the games to be resigned after they are run. I think if the utility is modifying the main.dol file within the game then it needs to be resigned. I don’t think Region Frii and BrickBlocker need to resign the disc. If the program requires the file key.bin which normally is not included with these utilities then there is a good chance that utility is going to resign disc. The issue about signed discs to think about is that the new 3.3 firmware blocks the exploit being used to resign the discs.

Since I typically get around this issue by only using backups that are in the same region as my Wii my understanding of this may be completely off base so please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
