Will pay for help! Error 1035 on while softmodding with tutorial.

I am currently trying to softmod my wii using the tutorial located here:

I have also consulted the error index thread with no luck.

Here is what is going on:

Ok I have tried 3 different sd cards, reformatted them in every possible way, tried both download mirror packages, and redone step 3a 100 times making sure to follow the tutorial to the letter, but yet I constantly get a -1035 error when trying to downgrade my IOS36... The following is a transcript of the error that occurs after selecting Load IOS from sd card twice:

Step 1: Set the revision to 0
Step 2: Install IOS with low revision
Preparations complete, press A to start step1...
Installing ticket...
Setting the revision to 0...
Error: ES_AddTitleStart returned -1035, maybe you need an updated Downgrader

Error: Could not set the revision to 0
Downgrade failed
Press any key to exit...


My trucha bug restorer states I am using IOS36 (Rev 3094), I have wii menu 4.1U previously downloaded from nintendo, I have a d2ckey chip in my machine, I have bootmii installed as boot2, and I have backed up my NAND as per step 2 in the tutorial.

The wii has never been softmodded and never had any homebrew in the past. I have been scouring the internet for 3 days now looking for an answer... I will paypal $10 to the first person to find an answer to get me through this tutorial and get my system softmodded..

Please help me find an answer this is driving me crazy, and wasting a ton of time.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I have already checked the error index which was no help for this particular problem. I am willing to pay someone since I have already wasted so much time, I don't mind giving someone $10 for their wisdom.

Could be your sd card or the pack. Format your sd card to FAT32 again even if it already is. Then re-download the pack from the tutorial and place the files onto the root of your sd card. Do not use the same files from your pc, redownload the pack!


After you format your sd card and redownload the pack, Repeat Step 3 again from the tutorial.

If the error continues, use a different sd card. Also, you shouldn't be paying for homebrew. Though its not required, you can make a donation to the site:

Try re-formatting with the tool in the tutorial, re-downloading one more time and placing the files on your root. This time, try repeating Step 3 from the beginning instead of continuing that step.

Ok I will give that a try right now, I have tried the tool in the tutorial to format already, but another try can't hurt... Like I sadi this is now 3 days wasted on this, it should be pretty simple!

Ok, If possible, A 2gb Sandisk MicroSD is recommended.

Same problem, no joy...

I just tried to skip the downgrade, and go to the next step and it gives me a -2011 erro and says "You need to use an IOS with trucha bug. Thats what the IOS15 downgrade is good for... IOS36 installation failed. Press any button to exit."

When I check the error index for my errors it says that I need to use the trucha bug restorer, but that is the problem I am having, I can't use the restorer.

What else can I do?
