I just got it and am trying to load via usb hdd, got black screen. People say it's likely a missing ios does anyone know which one to load?
I had the spanish ver and it worked.
I'm getting black screen on this game too. Can anyone help?
The WiiSOS version works fine with USB Loader GX. Just had an 'issue' with it locking up after the nuke explosion. Sorted this by unplugging the usb right after the 'bang' then re-plugging in. Loaded as normal after.
i'm also getting black screen. i'm trying to update my IOS (went through WADManager and installed the IOS version i wanted but so far nothing has changed) to see what happens.
@spartan - is your backup PAL?
@madima - is your backup NTSC?
Hey uname, I've been playing MWR since it came out on a NTSC backup DVD-r. I used the same ISO with USBLoader GX and I get a black screen. I can play New Super Mario Bros. Wii on PAL through USBLoader and it works perfect. It's been a while since I modded my Wii, and I don't remember if I have the IOS's you have listed. I'm sure I do, but I don't want to brick my Wii. I also tried with NeoGamma, and Softchip Loader. I just downloaded the new Gecko, and I'm gonna try from there.
If you have any theories let me know!
Well, I have COD:MW on my HDD and it loads fine with Wiiflow on a 4.1U system using the default (249) IOS.
The strange thing is that I just modified my friend's Wii...following the exact guide I used to modify my own, the only thing I did differently was load up priiloader on his system (extra security in case he screws some thing up) but he is getting the black screen when he launches the game.
Really strange considering we are using the same hdd, system version, ios, USB loader, etc. The only difference I can see is the addition of priiloader on his unit, and the fact that he isn't using the component cables. I'm going to test to see if it works on my HDTV using components when I get a chance, and if it does, then I can only assume it is some sort of video display issue when using analog signals.
