    PriiLoader Hijacked my Wii!

    not really ... but I am having issues with the autoboot on PriiLoader.

    Greetings, I'm new here and have been reading a lot of threads, I followed Dogeggs "New 3.1-4.1 Softmod any Wii" thread perfectly and installed IOS60-Patched.wad first, then used the firmware updater 4.1 in the HBC to take my 3.4U Wii to 4.1U. Afterwards, I installed PriiLoader and changed the autoboot setting to "System Menu" and saved the setting. Now when I boot my Wii it goes to PriiLoader before the System Menu, and I've reinstalled everything over once already.

    I've been racking my brain searching the forum, read this post http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...menu-back.html three times. I've even reinstalled System Menu 4.1U with the wad file in that thread. PriiLoader always loads first it seems.

    I hope I've provided enough information.

    ===================
    ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED
    ===================
    Resolution: Use the attached bool.dol to go into your priiloader folder on your SD card for homebrew (i.e. SD:/apps/Priiloader_v0_2/). keep a backup of your old bool.dol somewhere safe just in case any issues arise. Uninstall priiloader from the HBC, and reinstall priiloader after that (with new boot.dol in priiloader folder).

    This updated r40 compiled source worked perfectly for me, no more priiloader autoboot issues, and no "when Bootstate = 255" exception for HBC Shutdowns.

    This works perfectly with no bugs on my Wii, I CANNOT be held responsible if you brick your own Wii!

    Just to make sure, autoboot is a new feature I think, does anyone know of any existing issues with it seperate from mine?

    Oh I'm using PriiLoader v0.02

    Are you able to access your system menu at all by launching into system menu? Or by launching into homebrew and then hitting the home button and selecting system menu? Did you install ios60patched before your update to 4.1?

    Thanks for replying, I can access everthing fine from the priiloader menu, system menu, and HBC. My issue is using the autobooting setting of priiloader. I set autobooting to system menu or HBC and it will go there the nex time I reboot the wii but any more reboots after that and it boots back to the priiloader menu first. I'm trying to figure out how to make it boot straight to the system menu first.

    I installed patched ios60 first, upgrade to 4.1 second, and installed priiloader last.

    It's a bug introduced around revision 30 of Priiloader, which also happened to be the v0.2 release. You can install v0.1 on top of the current install or, if you can find a link to download the darn thing, revision 32 is said to have resolved the issue. All this can be found on the Google Source Code page.

    In the same place where you changed boot to: to system menu, there's an option that says "return to:" set that to system menu as well. It's probably set to preloader right now.

    Thank you! I will try to get rev 32 - i have the excact same problem I did get it to boot the system menu directly - but only every second time i turned on the wii.. I did that by setting autoboot to sysmenu, and "return to" to sys menu too..

    My system: 4.1E, Priiloader 0.2 rev30, patched ios 60 installed prior to priiloader.

    EDIT: Revision 32 of Priiloader 0.2 can be found here!

    EDIT # 2: I installed rev 32, and it did fix the issue mentioned.. Although, now a new issue evolved... When i turn on my wii, every second time, it spins the drive (initial boot phase), and then just turns off again.... I can imagine the developer of Priiloader sitting there thinking "okay, every second time, the priiloader menu is loaded.. what to do.. what the hell, lets turn off the wii when that happends, then noone will complain about seeing my menu 50% of the time "
    (no disrespect to the author(s) of priiloader, its a great hack! )

    - Did I help you? Then thank my post!
    - My help is voluntarily, be nice!
    - My advice MAY help, and it MAY brick your Wii. I do my best, but the risk is yours!

    Yea, daco65 will have to iron out the bugs eventually ... its a matter of time until it's fixed.
