    Trouble installing WAD's

Hello, I can't seem to get wad manager 1.5 to install wads on my wii. I have an SD card, fully prepped with homebrew manager installed, and system menu 4.2

Maybe it has something to do with the IOS? Wich one should I run when wad manager asks me? I've tried a few and with all of them I attempt to install a WAD, any WAD and it says "error"

I've only had issues with WAD Manager 1.5. Instead try 1.4. The WAD Manager regardless (1.5) should start on IOS 249, and thats fine. Also is your SD Card formatted to Fat32? Its actually important.

You can download WAD Manager 1.4 here -> WAD-Manager_v1.4.rar <-

I have the same problem installing WADs. I ususally get error 1022. I've followed the tutorials and I'm still getting the errors. Trying very hard to figure it out on my own by reading many threads. I've done dop IOS, startpatch. I've installed cIOS38 rev15 on IOS 36, 249, 250. Do i need to do it on 60?.

Here's a question for the powers that be...I updated (like a bonehead!) found the "no vulnerable IOS" tutorial and followed IT, but why I was doing it rev14 of cIOS38 wouldn't load (and STILL doesn't), so I used rev15. Is this the reason I can't install WADs? I'm thinking no, but was wondering if there were any other thoughts?

In response to the last post...I'll try using WAD manager on a fAT32 SD...I've been using FAT, as it's the default setting. hmmm...is this the answer to my previous question also, I'll try it & let you know.

I tried to start it on IOS 249, and the blue wii disc light started blinking, and the program and controller became unresponsive for a long while, until I manually restarted the wii... =/

It should be FAT32 or shouldn't be?

    I'll try 1.4, thanks

To be honest, i don't know. I started my modding on 4.2U so i never had an issue of updating. Your not a bonehead for updating, when i got the Wii it was actually a lower Firmware and i updated it not knowing the difference and got lucky because there is a 4.2 guide. You can try to uninstall EVERYTHING, use WAD manager to install a current system menu to your firmware, then update to 4.2 and start over. If your already there, try to uninstall everything and try this guide -> http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html <-

If you need help to make your wii a Virgin again, use this -> http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ii-virgin.html <-

Let me know if any of this helps.

    It's gotta be Fat32.

Didn't really want to start over, but I guess I may have to. Don't have much time to do it now, as I'll be busy all week from here on in, but I'll let you know if it helps. Thanks.

OK, so I'm trying to uninstall the IOS 249 according to the full guide to 4.2 you posted, and wad manager keeps saying error, like there is no ios249... I can install it, and then uninstall it, but when I first launch it says "error" and nothing happens, does that mean I'm ready for the next step (installing the rev14)?

OK, continued to run extra steps and now my wads have installed just fine!!

Expo, I suggest you follow the tutorial, it's pretty easy and worked like a charm!
