Upgrading to 4.0 safely (NO DISC) without wifi either.

I currently have a 3.4U LU64+ Wii that I would like to upgrade to 4.0 so I can gain the SD menu function because I am running out of space on the NAND for my VC/Wiiware/savegames.
What do I need, and what/how can I use it?
I'm sure it can be done I just haven't seen an actual process for it

I already have NUSdownloader or w/e it's called so I can get most any IOS that's needed.

    Thanks

you can download system menus right from the NUSD. Use wad manager to install them after you have put the wad file on your SD.

As far as I know, you don't. Just install the System Menu wad and you should be fine.

I believe the Waninkoko's updater needs wifi to perform the update, but i will look into it right now.

This was taken from a repiatable source:

Now, nope, no Offline for Wanins-Updater, you need an Internet-Connection. You can:

-Wait for an Disc that includes this Update (recommended, very safe)
-Systemmenu WAD via NUS Downloader and install it

Nintendo should release all updates online made on wii format. Pop it in and update via disc channel. That would have solved the bricking problem in most cases.

Is there some repository of games that have the 4.0 update?
or at least one that has what game/update ect?
Thing is.. I don't want to lose my ISO16.. I can't find a good download of it anywhere anymore.
    Edit:
Repository = list. I should have said that instead

    Edit2:
NSMB has 4.1 past this I can't find a suitable database.

Repository - lol, sounds a bit like something you put up your ahem

No games have the 4.0 update so the list would be very small, even smaller than the list of dual layer games :P

I have an IOS in my mediafire IOS16-64-v257-prod.rar No idea if it works but it's got PROD in it's title. IOS16 is a bit old school, TBR is a more elegant solution these days.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
