Ok then. 80GB NTFS and 20GB FAT32. Some apps like FAT32. It's a pain but it's homebrew and 20GB should be ample for a few videos.

Be interested how you actually find this software in terms off performance, a nice programme to have installed on the wii but must admitt from, the few times I have used it it does not take much to freeze the wii when using it.

installed the very latest version and to be honest did not find it any better, anyone else find there wii frrezing up occasionally when using mplayer ce ??

av found it works perfect for me cannot complain as iv watched bout 4 movies since installing it last week, the wii handles it fairly good, as i couldnt run it from my harddrive coz it require fat32 which i only just found out, but from my 8gb flashdrive it works mint,

I've had a few stalling issues and so forth with Mplayer CE over the last 6 months I've been using it. I have it working great off SD and USB and any standard definition avi is fine with no dropped frames, it doesn't like H264 but that's due to the poor cpu in the Wii.

SMB, the wireless sharing protocol worked ok too when I was using XP. I could stream video and music from my study to the living room and it only had minor issues, the occasional stutter and pause. I couldn't seem to get it working off Windows 7 64 bit though, buit haven't tried since 0.76 came out.

Okay thanks guys for your comments on the performance off this mplayer ce, have to agrea the actual playing off any film etc is fine but all I am saying is personally feel it does not take much to freeze the wii when the film is playing by using a few off the video controls.

do you play your mp3 files from this same programme or have you found anything more mp3 player dedicated for the wii ??
