    Us Won't read SD Card

    I have modded several Wii's with no problems. The one I am doing now is giving me some issues. It is a 4.0u, when I try to load the SD card from Channels it comes up with, "The device inserted in the SD Card Slot can't be used." I am using a 2Gb Sandisk, the same one I have used for all the other successful Wii mods, so I know this isn't the issue. I also reformatted the card using SDFormatter V2.0, but get the same error. This Wii is only about a year old and my brother said he tried to load pictures using his SD Card before and couldn't get it to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    What format are you formatting the SD - Card to...

    ? NTFS ?
    ? FAT ?
    ? FAT32 ?

    I had this problem before on my wii were the sandisk 2gb would not read or my wii would freeze when trying to access it... i just made sure that it was in the slot all the way and i used the SDFormatter 2.0 (also) and made it FAT32.... and i have not had a problem since....

    Us OK

    It is Fat32 of course. This isn't my first dip in the pool. I have tried everything I know of, it doesn't freeze or anything, it just displays that message, and you click Back and it goes back to Data Management. Could this be a hardware issue? Is there anyway to mod it over the internet? I have wifi access, so this would be a logical choice. Thanks.

    I think that you can do the updates of IOS programs and HBC stuff through WIFI but not the straight moding.... UM..... have you tried another SD card even if it is not a huge one... not to insult your intelligence, but make sure the lock switch on the SD card is not in the LOCK position..

    let me know

    Just tried another SD Card (Lexar - 128 MB), with the same results. Yes they are both unlocked. A few days ago I tried a different Sandisk 2Gb and got the same thing. I think maybe it is a hardware issue, maybe he should call N. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Yes that is what i would say, call N. and since you cant mod the thing it should still be under warr. and when they replace it, then go for it....
