    Wii Freezes at Settings Menu

Hey guys, I need some help.

When I go to the settings menu in the wii system menu, after about 4-5 seconds the wii freezes, but I still hear the sounds.

    Anyone please?

Have you installed any themes (*.csm) using MyMenuify or the like? If you have then perhaps try reinstalling the original *.app file for your System Menu. If not, what have you done to your Wii (softmod - what cIOS? IOS? have all installs been correct? no other issues? or hardmod - wiikey, WODE etc).
    4.1E - Priiloader 0.3b - bootmii as IOS - cIOS 38 r15 - Triiforce MRC v.7 - MPlayer CE v.0.76 - Configurable USB Loader v.48 - WiiFlow v1.1 - SanDisk 2GB SD - 320GB Vertabim HDD
Please remember to hit if I've been of any assistance to you.

i am having the same issue, my wii is softmodded. i noticed it happening when i installed preloader, could the "Replace Healthwarning with Backmenu" hack have anything to do with it? i also recently installed mplayer ce, i noticed it doesn't load the menu after running that.

No it couldn't. I use that all the time as I have crazyintro installed as such it boots to that first and then it's just inconvenient to have the Health Warning again... So that can be ruled out. Like I suggested before, try reinstalling your System Menu app and that should reload the entire System Menu back to its default state and all should be good again. Fingers crossed everything works for you. If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask and don't forget the thanks button : ) Good luck.

You read my mind with the theme thing. If you install 4.1 themes on a 4.0, the wii freezes when gong to settings. Update your wii to 4.1 using wanikokos 4.1 updater if this is the case, and all problems will vanish.

If you have preloader or Priiloader in settings there is,
IOS to use for SM, you have to set this to the correct one,
or use the setting use IOS for SM
I am on 3.2 so I set that to 30, I had it on 249 at first and that gave freezing on the settings page.

Lol sorry. Well you can get into your Wii perfectly fine yes? What System Menu are you running on and are you familiar with NUS Downloader? I just think the method most likely to succeed would be to re-install the System Menu theme (which is a *.app file) This isn't exactly a difficult process. Grab NUS Downloader from here NUS Downloader v1.1a - Homebrew - Wii - QuickJump Downloads. Also grab this, which is a HBC application called MyMenuify. Once you have downloaded these, put MyMenuify in the relevant spot on your SD card.

Now, open up NUS Downloader and where it says "Title ID" paste this "0000000100000002" (without quotations obv) and in the "v" box, paste the one that corresponds to your system menu:

    97 (2.0U),128 (2.0J),130 (2.0E),162 (2.1E),192 (2.2J),193 (2.2U),194 (2.2E),224 (3.0J),225 (3.0U),226 (3.0E),256 (3.1J),257 (3.1U),258 (3.1E),288 (3.2J),289 (3.2U),290 (3.2E),352 (3.3J),353 (3.3U),354 (3.3E),384 (3.4J),385 (3.4U),386 (3.4E),390 (3.5K),416 (4.0J),417 (4.0U),418 (4.0E),448 (4.1J),449 (4.1U),450 (4.1E),454 (4.1K),480 (4.2J),481 (4.2U),482 (4.2E),486 (4.2K)

    And enjoy : )

Oh and I forgot to post, if for some reason you do take my "overly" complicated method. When using NUS Downloader, don't tick the "Pack -> Wad" box and once it's done, the file you are after is called "00000001.app" which is the one you need to copy onto your sd card in the directory SD:\csm\ eg. SD:\csm\00000001.app : ) Open up HBC, open up MyMenuify and install 00000001.app. All should be good from then. I know it sounds long-winded, but everything's worth a shot. This is what I had to do when I suffered from a semi-brick a while back so yerr... Good luck anyway : )
