    Advice for getting started again

Ok i just got my wii back from nintendo and everything is gone but before this happened i backed up my save data. Now it came back version 4.0U. What should i do first before i try hacking it again?
Should i reconnect to the net then start without updating?
Also do i just use the same bannerbomb hack i used before because it appears to be the same version?

    Probably fine, try this:

If however, they installed you a D3-2 Board, then disc loading wouldn't work, you'll need a USB Loader. Either way the tutorial linked to you will work.

If you extracted your save files with Save Game Extractor, softmod your wii with the link I gave you before, then afterwards. Use Save Game Installer to put them back.

Since you're already on 4.0, no need for firmware upgrades, and when its time to install the cIOS, select WAD install instead of Network. That should allow you to do an offline softmod.
