Blackscreens on all apps in homebrew channel

I'm very new to this... but catch on quick

I had a wii with 4.2 and managed to downgrade to 3.2.

None of the files I have on my SD card are working, except the wad installer file.

Everytime I click into any app, i get a black screen and have to force restart my wii.

Any ideas guys? Please all your help is greatly appreciated.

Did you only recently purchase your Wii or did you upgrade? If you upgraded did you upgrade safely using Waninkoko's method, or did you download an official Nintendo Update? Downgrading is a very risky thing to do, I did it myself, but my Wii was neither a LU64+ model and was downgraded from 3.4E to 3.2E.

When you say "wad installer file" do you mean Waninkoko's "Wad Manager"? My guess would be that you are missing an IOS or cIOS, have you tried reinstalling them? (such as cIOS38rev15 etc?)

If so, please read Dogeggs' wonderful guide here.

Yes i do mean wad manager. That being said, it was a wii I purchased with 4.2. It's neither the serial numbers you mentioned. When ever try to get in wad manager and select cios 249, it freezes the wii. And I have to force restarted.

Did you try the guide I provided a link to? It helped me wonderfully. My guess would be you are missing something, possible the Trucha Bug... But as Sinyk, and others, have stated the TBR doesn't work on 4.2 Wii's. I'm sorry I don't have much more I can add, perhaps browse through some of the tutorials? Look for some on downgrading the Wii, retrace your steps and see if you can find anything? But you said you purchased your Wii with System Menu 4.2, so can I just quote Dogeggs for a moment and say:

if you bought your Wii this year then do not downgrade!
