Persevere, you will need cIOS38rev14 to get loaders working.

I found the TruchaBugRestorer pack i have downloaded previously. I only used the cIOS Installer from this pack originally, but it includes the Bug Restorer app also. The readme says:

    Trucha Bug Restorer 1.0

    FAQ:

    Q: What's this good for?
A: The TBR is to get IOS with the trucha bug on all Wiis with system menu up to 4.1. Usually the error codes -1017 and -2011 indicate that the trucha bug is required and missing.
    Sounds like me?

I read the readme.txt (sounds a little hairy) but I don't know which options I should choose when I run the TBR app. I assume I should be choosing IOS 38, then I get these options:

    IOS36 Menu
    IOS37 Menu
    Downgrade IOS 15
    Restore IOS 15
    Show boot2 info
    Exit

    any help on this one?

no preloaders installed. only HBC with apps.

i downgraded the revision of IOS15 through the IOS38 and 36 menus using TBR but still no dice. same as the start. Only thing is, I read at this page: Wii Softmod - Durbn at step 3 to downgrade IOS15 rev, but when I do this on IOS 38, there is then no option in the IOS15 menu to patch IOS38 like the guide says to do for 36. I can only repatch 36 or 37.

yeah from what i read in the TBR readme, I should downgrade IOS15 to rev 257, then reinstall IOS38 I think.

The readme doesn't really address IOS38, only 36 and 37 and I'm finding I can't reinstall 38 from the TBR pack I have.

Ultimately I am trying to get IOS38rev14 installed. Is there a way I can see what revision of IOS38 i have on my Wii? I have a feeling it is 9.

I used the cIOS 38 rev 14 software linked in WiiJohn's signature and it installed everything but now my USB loaders won't load games at all. Even the USB stick that used to work isn't loading games. I can use the loader, see the games, click to load them and then they don't load. GX gives me a black screen and USB Loader 1.4 gives me error #002 (USBLoader1.4 has never worked for me)

well, i just reinstalled everything from scratch including HBC. followed this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html using the software from the links it provides, which had yesterdays date in the filename so i'd say they must be the latest files.

    cios38rev14 installed

still no go on the hdd so i'm putting it down to the enclosure is not supported. weird since it will do everything except load a game. even let me rip a game to it or so it appeared to.
