I had the same problem with my PriiLoader.

I started the wadmanager from HBC though and it worked.

BTW, in my case the problem happened after installing cIOScorp V3.5.

mauifrog you saved the day. Thanks!

Project420: I'm a total n00b, so hopefully someone here can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you just need to d/l a patched wad of IOS70 & a wad for menu v481 & install them using the Homebrew Channel

Just a note. Doing this patched IOS60 also fixes it so your wii can play installed wiiware and VC from a wad file from the sd card.

Just a huge note of thanks to Mauifrog for this WII saving thread.

Now my little rant. I have done this type of stuff more than a few times on my wifes WII console before and never had the problems I had this time around. I followed the directions to a tee even read them several times before I attempted to do this. The console has a Wasabi Zero installed and was running 3.4U. I have not downloaded and burned any game backups in quite a while so I started to read these threads and it seemed like if I wanted to be able to keep playing newer games I needed to update to 4.1U. I also felt that the added security of using Priiloader would be beneficial. The first snag came when I installed Hackmii which told me I could only install Bootmii as an IOS......CRAP.....oh well I soldiered on and continued with the directions from the 3.1-4.1 Any WII thread by Dogeggs. The instructions are not completely clear and it took a while to get to the Steps 5a-5d portion but I finally got there. But after completing that portion of the directions I had the same problem where the Priiloader did not reboot the machine and I was stuck with the perpetual Priiloader screen and could only get the HBC to run. When I followed Mauifrog's directions all went well, what I noticed was when I started loading the System Menu 4.1 WAD that it was re-loading a bunch of stuff that was installed during the System Menu update in Dogegg's TUT. So why would reloading something that was already loaded into the console have to be done again for it to behave normally??? Could it be that the files in his TUT that I downloaded are corrupt??? Maybe the 4.1 Safe installer has bugs in it??? I am not accusing anyone of anything but trying to figure out where this thing went wrong. It would be nice to figure it out to save someone else from the same many hours of reading and troubleshooting to get their console working again.

Now should I even try to reinstall Priiloader from the files that i downloaded from the original TUT??? Will this work or just put me back into Priiloader hell??? I would love to have the system mods but not at the expense of my system menu. This was originally posted back in May 2009 and it is now December how come this is still being touted as working on any WII. At the very least I would please ask someone to check this TUT out and figure out where the problem lies so that it can be corrected for future use.

I guess it is somewhat my fault for not reading for another 8 hours every post I could find so that I didn't run into this problem but I "assumed" (very bad thing to do) that anything that has been stickied should have already been fully tested and working for the majority of folks.

So can someone clue me in as to where i currently stand with this WII console??? I have my system menu back should I re-install the Priiloader, if so should I use the same install files I used originally or should they be downloaded again from a different source??? I guess I will do some testing now to see if my current game backups still work or not.

Again a huge thanks to Mauifrog for the awesome tips and links on how to get my WII healthy again.........Ten thumbs up to you buddie!!!!

First you should reinstall priiloader, be sure you installed the ios60 patched previously and you can download it from wiibrew here.

When you did the guide, when did you install ios60 patched? Did you install it before you ran the 4.1 update? Before priiloader? after?

If you installed ios60 patched, then the 4.1 update, then priiloader- you did it right. At that point if your system menu does not load, the guide recomends reinstalling priiloader, sometimes it does not install correctly. If that fails, just reinstall the ios and menu.

Could these files be corrupt? Yes they could, they could be corrupted on the server, when they were downloaded, extracted, moved to the sd-card- it is possible.

But rest assured thousands of people have used that guide and all went well. So far any failures are rare and random.

    Maui,
Thank you for the quick reply and info. I followed the instructions step by step but the part where you are supposed to go to Step 5a was a bit confusing as I wasn't sure if i should load 4.1 first or IOS60-patched first. It reads like you have to do 4.1 first so I did that but it failed with ret-1036 error so I read some more and found out i was supposed to do IOS60 first then do 4.1. So I installed IOS60, then did 4.1 Safe and then after that I did the Priiloader which is where everything went south. So maybe it was my lack of understanding the steps involved and not installing IOS60 first. Don't know just happy that I was able to get my System menu back via your help again thank you very much. I just ran a backup of Resident Evil and it worked fine with the disc channel. So now I am going to download the Priiloader again and reinstall that and hopefully not have any issues from there.
