apps in HBC, wiimote turns off

Yesterday my Wii was working fine on firmware 3.1E, HBC 0.35, cios36 rev7 backs working no problem.

I was getting the #002 error on a couple of new games so installed neogamma which told me I needed to upgrade to cios38 rev 14. Tried to update via wadmanager and hbc apps but kept getting errors preventing install.

Gave up lastnight and restarted today only to find I'm now unable to play games from backup launcher orload apps from hbc as they all start ok then switch to black screen and the wiimote turns off.

I've uninstalled the hbc and reload via twilight hack, but still getting no apps to load, I think it maybe a ios issue but not 100% sure.

I checked the version of IOS that is reported by HBC and it says ios35 v4.16 and I'm not sure if it's reporting incorrectly but now slightly confused as to what to do next.

Someone please point me in the right direction

    Cheers

    Shaun

    GET A CIOS

    a) Go to Homebrew channel and run Trucha Bug Restorer, load IOS36, press 1, read the warnings then select 'downgrade IOS15', select to load IOS from SD card then let it do its job, keep an eye on what it is doing and make sure you select 'load from sd card' when it asks & don't get any errors.

    b) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, this time select to load IOS15 on first screen using dpad left/right, then select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card.

    c) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, load IOS36 and this time select restore IOS15.

    d) Run cIOS38 r14 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.

Unfortunetly I download Trucha boot.dol etc placed it in apps folder, started hbc and ran trucha which went to black screen and wiimote turned off.

Is there another way to run trucha or am I missing the correct wads to make it work, or something like that

    Cheers

Yes you can download the whole package you need here Wiihack Softmod 112509.rar

Download extract to a FAT32 formatted SD card. (Sandisk 2gb if possible)

I formatted the sd card with FAT32 and copied contents of rar to root.

Opened hbc and selected Trucha Bug Restorer which went to blank screen and turned off control again.

Same happens with all the apps listed, as there another way to get around using the bug restorer, without having to load from the hbc, like a boot.elf or something?

Exactly the same, it finds all apps listed in apps folder in hbc but won't load them
