Never used bootmii before, is it normal that you wimote turns off when you start it and the power button on the front of the wii moves the cursor around?

What do I need to do in Bootmii exactly?

well if you made a backup of the nand you will need a gamecube controller to navigate thru the menus, select the last one then choose the second option, then press A-B-X-Y at the same time to begin the process. To acess you would have to go to the homebrew channel then press home on the wiimote now select launch bootmii now make sure you have a file in your SD card called bootmii and the NAND in the root od the SD, the bootmii folder is needed in order for bootmii to launch or else the disc tray would just light up
