cIOS installer and wii remote trouble

I'm having trouble installing any cIOS file. I've tried to install cIOS18 rev14 and cIOS rev15 multiple times each, and I get the same result every time. Here's what happens:

I have the file in the correct folder on my SD card (apps -> cIOS18 rev14). I plug it into my Wii. I open up the homebrew channel. I select the cIOS folder, then I select Load. The installer screen appears as it should. This is when my wii remote disconnects and turns off. When I press any button, it does not reconnect. The screen is still the same, and the music continues. I have to turn off my console by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.

I have 4.2. I've seen others have this problem, but I haven't been able to find any answers. Please help!

cIOSrev15 is not proven yet. Overwriting it with cIOS38rev14, often works.
Try downloading the file from the name in my sig.

I've tried both, and I've had the same result with both. My remote shuts off and there's nothing I can do about it.

Anyone have a solution for this? I'm facing the same problem. I don't have a GB controller...not sure if that's what others are doing as a workaround.

Try to use a different sd-card, or try to load from it from a thumb drive.

Try this when using the installer.

"ios38-64-3610.wad" goes in the root of your card and then you use "cIOS38_rev14-Installer"

usb loader problems

hi, i have a new black wii, 4.3u, it doesnt support gamecube stuff.i have been trying to install usb loader to play games but everytime i try to install Cios i can select what i want to install but then my wii remote turns off,but the music in the background is still going. i cant do anything about it,can some please help me.
