im from the uk, i just have a japanese console but using anyregion changer i have changed all the settings to pal/uk. (resulting in a semi brick, but im fine with it lol i backed up the nand and it comes in handy sooo much). anyway i thought about getting a mate to install it on his wii then ill try put the installed version on mine via sd card.

it just seems to not wanna work so far no matter what i try. but i hope that way works

BBC iplayer is only availiable in the uk?? That's weird because I'm in Tokyo watching it now on my mac ... Not to be glib but I've already watched iPlayer on my Wii before they made a channel for it. Used to watch it through the Opera browser via a UK proxy but since they made it's own channel the website now directs you to download it via the shop channel.
There are a load of expats watching iPlayer from the US through their Wii - have spoken to them.
The problem seems to be getting the wad working on NTSC-J machines.

Speak to them again and ask them how they have done it then.

TBH I struggle to find anything worth watching on TV these days, my Iplayer channel just sits there lonely and neglected, in the hope that one day something will warrant the exporbitant fee that we must pay the BBC for their quality programming.
