    reinstal homebrew

    Hi guys

I have recently softmodded daughters wii using new 3.1 to 4.1 softmod

Unfortunately, when I installed cioscorp updates, the homebrew screen loaded upside down.

I tried various methods found here to fix but didnt work, so uninstalled homebrew channel.

How can I instal homebrew again as the Bootmii installer wont load homebrew again.?

    thanks for any help offered

I moved your post from the softmod removal thread as you looked not to be interested in removing softmods and re-virginizing our Wii.

Folks with cIOSCORP Wiis really have to read all the info before installing that. cIOSCORP replaces most of the core IOSes of the Wii with patched versions-very different than a normal softmod where only the minimal is done. Because of that massive replacement-you cannot just install, replace, etc as though it were a normal softmodded Wii.

Are you unable to re-install HBC because of a no vulnerable IOS type of message?

    Thank you for reply gen3sf.

Yes I am unable to re-install HBC because of a no vulnerable IOS message.

Wish there was an undo button, lol

    Angry

    The same for me, unfortunately.

Due to upsidedown HBC I tried replacing IOS30 and IOS61 with DOP-IOS but this didn't worked.

Then I canceled HBC but was not possible to install again (no vulnerable IOS !!!).

Without HBC I formatted the wii and made an upgrade (I was already 4.2E but it asked so) with the hope to have again a blank situation.

But again "no vulnerable IOS !!

And now ? I have no HBC so I think no way to run something ... :-(

@ddeeguy- with cIOSCORP I think you retain access to Wad Manager. Use Wad Mgr to install a clean version of IOS36:IOS36-64-v1042.wad. Then run the hackmii installer and install whatever you want then install CIOS36.wad which is the cIOS version that is installed with cIOSCORP.

It worked fine, and the guide was very very well done, step by step for a very big noods like me.
In few words I had to replace files using a bannerbomb technique instead of the HBC that was no more present on my Wii.

Place the Wad Mgr.dol file in the root directory of the SD card. Rename the Wad Mgr's.dol to either boot.dol or boot.elf. Use Bannerbomb to startup Wad Mgr.

You recall how Bannerbomb starts hackmii's boot.elf file? You are substituting Wad Manager's file for hackmii's so that ou can install the clean IOS36. Because of the substitution-make sure to take hackmii'sboot.elf file off the SD card while you are doing this procedure. After that is done now use the regular bannerbomb/hackmii setup to reinstall HBC.

Was able to get wad manager started after resetting wii hitting reset and loading file from dos screen. Keep getting file dump error.

when loading from wii menu settings etc, sd card show how many blocks there are but nothing else.

Totally outta my depth here and getting deeper n deeper.
