Talking Wii Shop Update Blocking Hacks?

Hello all i am new to this site.

I got a hacked Nintendo Wii what is on 4.0E as i hate updateing my Wii as i know what Nintendo are like .

The problem i am having right now is! Is it OK to update the Wii shop?
It will not block hacks or anything?

    Thank you.

How do this work? And will this brick the shop or my Wii in anyway?

    Thanks for your help.

It shouldn't brick it. Because if you go the official nintendo way I think you will be on system menu 4.2 and we don't want that.

Basically all you are doing is installing IOS 61 i believe and shop channel v18 if my memory serves me right.
