Wii freezes while trying to install HBC...

Is there any reason this is happening? Here's what I did, I installed it successfully and then updated using the safe update method, to 4.2U. I then installed the update for the 4.2 store. And lastly I used the trucha bug restorer. After doing this, my homebrew channel loaded upside down on the screen and the controls were reversed on my wiimote. It was only for the HBC though, once I loaded anything, it was normal again. So I deleted the HBC and was just gonna reinstall to see if it would be normal again.

Now, when I am at the SD Card menu, under channels, it just freezes up after I insert my SD card. The tutorial said to try the different banner bomb files until one worked, but I tried them all and same thing happens.

I then disabled my modchip and tried updating through the wii and figured maybe the safe update program or the trucha bug restorer screwed something up. After updating through the wii update, it still don't work.

Is there any other way to do this or anyway to downgrade back to 3.2U so i can play using my modchip? Now my backups won't load at all since I did the update. I have a wiikey btw.

    Thanks

You need to use bannerbomb v2, and load it from the sd icon on the wii channel menu not from data management. Let me know if you need any more help.

Edit, just saw that you did wifi update- use the 4.2 guide below and do not downgrade.
