Rev 15 problems. "virgin wii" problems. IOS problems. Wad Manager problems.

I installed rev 15 and uloader stopped working. USB-loader 1.5 froze the Wii. Before this everything worked fine. I then followed this guide, Complete Wii Softmodding / Hacking Guide, Part 1: An Introduction Some Random College Student's Blog

I got error on tickets trying to uninstall the IOS's over 200. After reinstalling the Homebrew Channel Wad Managers do not work. They load but freeze.

I then tried following this guide, Modify any Wii 4.2 & below - GBAtemp.net
Once again at the Any Title Deleter step I am unable to delete the IOS's over 200 and Wad Manager freezes.

So after all that I have a 4.2U Wii with the Homebrew Channel installed but no loaders work still, Wad Manager does not work.

Where do I go from here?

edit: Looking around the forums here I found this "Cioscorp users will have a problem, "no vulnerable ios error". I must have installed Cioscorp at some time.

    Piece of cake!

If you can run Any Title Deleter... then you can probably run DOPIOS. And if you can do that, you can install older versions of 222, 223, and 249. And if you can do THAT then you can install older versions of IOS30, 38, 50, and 53.

And... once you've done all that, and reinstalled CIOS (which I believe is your problem) then you should be good to go!

Well, Dop Ios loaded up and everything and I ran though it but that did not fix the problem. Went through a guide here and that did not fix the problem, but after, just trying to figure things out I decided to try unistalling the IOS's over 200 again which did work this time. I then unistalled Boot Mii, DVDX, and the Homebrew Channel. Then I ran the official update again and started working my way back down the Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus again. I am now happy to say everything is working again and I am reinstalling Wiiware. All the games on my external USB drive are booting and running correctly.

    Thanks!

I saw there was an update rev 15. I'm still on rev 14, and everything works perfect still. Until I run into a problem, I will seek new solutions. I think the lesson learned here is not to fix what is not broken. I would hate to see my Wii get bricked or not in working order, after all the time I spent hacking it following the amazing guides out there.

I have learned that lesson too for sure. We recently rented Rock Band 5 and discovered it would not play and I was very leary to do any of the recomended steps to get it working due to the whole Rev 15 ordeal but thanks to the sticky thread here for just such a problem that game is now playing just fine.
