How to update version of disk loader

I have a soft modded wii (was done a while ago and has a back up disk loader v 0.4 on it).

How do I go about updating this to the latest version (I want to play the new Mario game).

I'm guessing it doesn't work as I'm on an older version.

    Any help appreciated.

read either the softmod guide or the NSMB guide (both linked in my sig).

Both have links to the newer backup launchers.

thanks for the links but all very confusing.

the instructions seem to be for modding a wii from scratch.

mine is already modded. i just need to know how to update the back up launcher.

    any help appreciated.

just install the new launcher, neogamma if your using DVD, usbloader GX or CFG loader for USB, READ the NSMB thread, download the launcher and install!

    thanks for the reply again.

i'm really struggling to understand what to do. i've downloaded neogamma but haven't the foggiest on how to actually install it to my sd card.

Do I just copy it in to the wad folder or maybe the app folder?

By the way I want to run the game from a dvd.

edit - i copied the neogammer to my apps folder and managed to get it to run from within the homebrew channel. unfortunatley i still got a green screen when launching mario.

do i need to install anything else?

wad files in the wad directory and install with wadmanager.

dol files in a directory in the apps folder (must rename to boot.dol)

If you are softmodded you cannot play NSMB from DVD, only USB or SD.

    READ the guide.

Thanks. I was trying to do it via dvd.

One last question. I have the iso file for Mario. How do I put this on the sd card? Do I copy it as it is (i.e. leave as iso)?

If not how do I store it on the sd card?

Your help has really been appreciated.
