    New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Hey guys, I've just got my hands on New Super Mario Bros. Wii, however I've been out of the Wii hacking scene for a while, so I'm pretty rusty with regards to what I'll be needing to have this game running. The last time I was on here I was getting all the new revs back then for The Conduit (NTSC) just when that came out.

So I just wanted to ask, I've just got a New Super Mario Bros. Wii backup that is only 377mb. Last time I was on here games had to be 4.7GB to work, I burn any backups I make onto DVD's and play them (I don't use USB gecko etc.) so, sorry to sound like such a n00b but is there anything I need to do to ensure this works properly? MANY THANKS in advance for any help you can give me.

This is my Wii setup currently:

    Softmodded Nintendo Wii (PAL)
    Firmware: 3.2E
    WiiKey 1
Running Starfall for region free gaming and to get into games without it asking me to update and possibly brick my Wii.

    Thanks again.

When you extract the backup, it should be 4.7gb, if not, its fake.

You don't need to search Google, just search this forum.

Thanks so much for the replies guys! love this site, so many helpful people I have extracted it and now .iso is now 4.37GB. My Wii is PAL so I do not need to change region but I will use WiiTools to get rid of any update issues.

I've also just got Need for Speed Nitro. Will I need to do anything to this file before I use IMGburn to burn it to a DVD(do all new games now need updates removed as I don't remember having to do this before? ) I thought that was the whole point of Starfall's 'skip update screen' programme.

as long as the files you've download are scrubbed

all you have to do is burn the ISO's using Imageburn at 2x or 4x speed using Verbaim discs if you can make sure they're DVD-r

Sorry to sound dumb but how am I supposed to know if they're scrubbed or not? if it helps you know whether they were scrubbed, New Super Mario Bros. was 377mb (in RAR format) when I downloaded it but after extraction was 4.37GB. Need for Speed: Nitro was 2.08GB (in RAR format) when I downloaded it but is now 4.37GB after extraction.

when you download games look for the word scrubbed in the title here a recent title

New Super Mario Bros Wii [MULTI5][WII-Scrubber][PAL][WwW.GamesTor......

or espalwii.co..... etc also have all their games wii scrubed, it just automaically removed the updates fom the downloads, lowering the chances or bricking your Wii
