BootMii problem!! only getting black screen!

Ok so after 13554538413856841 posts on BootMii errors I still cant find the solution to mine!

    Here goes nothing!

I have softmoded Wii on 4.0U firmware, Everything is installed ok and backups work through Neogamma now when I'm in the HBC I open Hackmii (the latest 0.6 I think) and I install BootMii as an IOS cause it was purchased after Nov 08. it says its successful and writes all the data to my SD card. when I launch the HBC after bootmii install I hit my home button and then launch bootmii. I only get a blackscreen! nothing else besides my screen flickers once and then boots me back to my system menu after a few minutes of black screen!

I tried 2 different SD cards, and both have the bootmii directory on the root after bootmii install..

i'd like to do a backup and I just cant get it to run!!

btw I do have a GC controller that I cant use and still nothing!!

    Please Help!!
    Thanks

Do you have the three files in the bootmii folder.

You can do a backup with Bootmii IOS but a restore is not recommended.

I beleive as its runing an IOS while restoring it has to overwrite itsself, so the outcome is unpredictable. People do create a nand for the future when this sort of issue could be fixed.
Best is to have protection such as preloder or starpatch as well.

You say you have bootmii installed, and yo have the three files in Bootmii directory.
If so when you switch on the Wii it will start in the bootmii screen.
You should navigate to the icon that says memory to SD that will give you your nand backup. 540MB, plus one file. These two files you should store in a safe place.

Its a pleasure to help people who are reasonable.

If you have SD\Bootmii with three files in there, armboot, bootmii and ppcboot the wii should boot into the bootmii screen. If not maybe its not installed properly.
visit BootMii.org for how to install.
    Other things to look for,

When you install it it will check whether it can be installed as Boot2 or IOS. You have no choice.

IOS only which is what I did ...

I checked bootmii.org and this is what I read...

Q: "I installed BootMii/IOS, but it doesn't come up when I boot my Wii"

A: It doesn't work that way. For the moment, the best way to launch it is from the home-button menu in the Homebrew Channel.

I also tried to download the latest version and still nothing... wow this is becoming quite the issue for me now haha

Try updating to 4.1u using the softmod install found in the guides. Maybe that will work. But search around before attempting this option.
Homebrew channel should be at 1.06. BootMii (IOS) will not show up when the wii is booted because of how the program is written.
The SD card should NOT be in the lock position.
Besides that, I cant think of anything else. sry
