Stuck on homebrew menu

Hi
Hope someone can help.
My wii boots up to the homebrew menu and is now stuck there due to my sons taking the remotes to a friends and syncing them with their wii. I have tried to sync them back by pressing the red buttons but it doesn't seem to work on the Homebrew menu.
Is there anything that I can do to free this?
I've been reading some sites and there are scrubbers and virginise your wii topics and downloads but I don't want to brick my wii.
Any help will be much appreciated.

have you pressed the red button on your wii then the wiimote so they can pair?

Thanks for the reply. Tried that and holding it for 15secs as well but no joy.

over 1 year old. I upgraded to 4.1 and hacked it using bannerbomb It was all working fine until the kids synced the remotes with the neighbours wii

try your neighbours wiimote, incase they got swapped, its worth a try at least :)

Ugh. Insert facepalm here, I've been caught out with the same thing.

Priiloader autoboots into USB Loader GX. I took my Wiimotes to a friend's place so we could have 4 controllers there. Bought my 2 back, and I'm unable to pair them back to my wii while in USB loader or priiloader.

Is there some sort of file trick to get priiloader to boot back to the System Menu without controller intervention, or will I have to go out and buy a Gamecube controller?

EDIT: Never mind. I just went out and bought a 2nd hand Gamecube controller. Fixed!!
